Our faculty participated in the EJP SOIL Annual Science Days 2025 (ASD25) conference
Dr. Wogene Solomon Kabato, Research Fellow at the Department of Plant Sciences, participated in the EJP SOIL Annual Science Days 2025 (ASD25) at Aarhus University, Denmark on 6-7 October 2025.
ASD25 is the premier European forum for cutting-edge soil science, bringing together leading researchers, policymakers, funders, and innovators to address one of the most pressing global challenges - building a sustainable food system rooted in healthy soils.
The conference covered key topics, including sustainable soil management, climate change adaptation and mitigation, soil health monitoring, and carbon sequestration, accompanied by high-level discussions on innovative approaches and future directions in soil science.
Dr. Kabato presented a poster in the soil management section, providing an excellent opportunity to share research findings, exchange ideas, and receive feedback from international experts. He noted that the conference provided valuable insights, strengthened professional connections, and created opportunities for future collaborative research in sustainable soil and agricultural systems.
The event, grounded in the EJP SOIL programme, served as a platform to explore how scientific knowledge and validated practices can inform policy, guide investment, and support the transition to resilient agricultural systems.
